This too shall pass

Tears streaming down her face on a regular basis, could not saturate the barren desert in her heart.

Inner peace was her expectation from  her Heavenly Father  to deliver her from her discord.

She wondered within herself was she being a faithful steward, or was her creator displeased with her for some reason.

Maybe this is punishment from past transgressions. However, this did not explain the cards dealt from her broken childhood.
If in fact she was a good steward, then why all of her heartache?

She held strong to her faith even while questioning the sovereignty of the One she could not see.

If wavering only for a moments time only brought back to her memory her identity of how great she really is

Then she dried her tears, stood up, and attempted to live

Broken bottle glass once filled with valuable purpose, now sparingly cover the side walk surfaces, along with shatter dreams, and lost identity.
No reconciliation for what was lost nothing found. No recollection of what love and what living life really means
Like a beautiful garment torn at the seams . Can What is torn be stitched back together perfectly?
A small part of me is left empty. Void of fond memories that everyone can recall but me.
One moment at a time until they become hours, then days.I am  praying for a Phase of complete healing to take place in my heart.
The Father filling the void of a father

My Name is Luchetta

I'm not here on Earth
just for the breathing
I spent another day seeing
clinging to my hope of better days
and believing
That the best is ahead
I'm playing the world's game
Simon Says
I try to orchestrate the moves
plan ahead
If I don't keep up
slothful means game over
I'm dead
no, no, no
not death in the physical
but mental, spiritual
I'm keeping my hope alive
If I don't
my dreams and visions
will surely die
Like when Jesse Jackson
didn't make president
My purpose takes precedence
over everything
If need be
I will
revive
one dream at a time
watching the screen for flatlines
It's hard dealing with
the spiritually dumb, deaf, and blind
The ones who shunned light
making darkness right
I fight to keep sane
As temptation knocks on my door
I swear I hear him
calling my name
I don't answer
That name is no longer familiar
to me
I no longer answer to defeat

Change

POEM TITLE: C.H.A.N.G.E
WRITTEN BY: LUCHETTA (COOKEE) MANUS ©2015
We are the C.H.A.N.G.E
We are choosing how a new generation emerges
Learning
That transformation
Starts within us
Listening
To the cries in the streets
Of people who want to live life
Differently
With purpose
Serving a mighty God
Diligent servants
To usher our brothers and sisters in
A new beginning
Families mending
Bodies healing
Broken hearts fixed
C.H.A.N.G.E
we chose to emerge
Strong
Our faith deep
As it is
Long
Breaking thee chains which has kept
Us bound
For so long

My smile is deceptive.
Sometimes I keep my thoughts silent in my head so that devils cannot hear my weaknesses.
I choke my fears so they cannot be heard, and the only evidence of them are my tears without a voice.
Choking them yet they won't die. They lay  dormant until it is their time to  invade my mind, and cause confusion.
Which leaves me blind to my potential.
